Effective June 7, 2026. These Terms of Use apply to AptiStockX, aptistock.com, and related license and support services provided by AptiStock LLC. By downloading, installing, purchasing, activating, or using AptiStockX, you agree to these terms. If you use AptiStockX for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
Charting and research software
AptiStockX is charting and research software for self-directed traders and researchers. AptiStock LLC is not a broker, investment adviser, fiduciary, market-data exchange, or trade execution service. AptiStockX does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. You are solely responsible for trading decisions, risk management, and independently verifying information before acting on it.
License grant and product tiers
AptiStock LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use AptiStockX in accordance with these terms. AptiStockX and its original content remain the property of AptiStock LLC and are licensed, not sold.
Basic is free and may be used without purchasing Pro. A Direct Pro purchase from aptistock.com is a one-time purchase that grants continuing Pro access and future AptiStockX Pro updates without a paid renewal or version-eligibility cutoff. A Pro license does not guarantee any particular future feature, release schedule, operating-system version, provider integration, or third-party service.
The activation limit is stored in the signed license. New Direct Pro licenses currently allow five active installations. You may use the license only for yourself or the purchasing organization and may not share, resell, sublicense, or transfer it without AptiStock LLC's written permission. Support may reset activations for legitimate device replacement, hardware upgrades, operating-system reinstalls, or retired installations after verifying the customer.
The Pro Trial is time-limited and normally available once per email, installation, and device fingerprint. Trial expiration returns AptiStockX to Basic without deleting local user data.
Acceptable use
You may make reasonable backup copies of the installer and your license file for your own use. You may not bypass license or activation controls; forge, alter, share, or sell license files; use AptiStock services to commit fraud or violate law; interfere with service operation; or attempt unauthorized access to AptiStock systems. You may not reverse engineer AptiStockX except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
Your data and backups
AptiStockX is local-first. You control and are responsible for your chart files, downloaded data, watchlists, workspaces, drawings, custom indicators, settings, credentials, and backups. AptiStock LLC is not responsible for loss caused by device failure, deletion, provider changes, incompatible files, or failure to maintain backups. Disabling or removing a Pro entitlement does not intentionally delete your local chart files or user-created data.
Market data, AI, and third-party services
AptiStockX can connect to market-data, fundamental-data, AI, payment, and infrastructure providers. Those services are controlled by third parties and are subject to their own terms, privacy policies, availability, subscriptions, credentials, rate limits, and data rights. You are responsible for choosing and lawfully using those services.
Market and fundamental data can be delayed, incomplete, corrected, differently adjusted, or unavailable. Indicators, drawings, alerts, and AI output can be incomplete or wrong and do not guarantee future results. Verify important information with an authoritative source. AptiStock LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted third-party service, market-data accuracy, AI accuracy, or provider compatibility.
Payments, refunds, and license status
Prices and included features are those displayed at the time of purchase. Direct purchases are processed by Stripe or PayPal and are covered by the published Refund Policy. Purchases made through an application store are governed by that store's payment and refund rules.
AptiStock LLC may revoke or disable a license obtained through fraud, unauthorized sharing, a confirmed refund, payment reversal, chargeback, or material violation of these terms. When AptiStockX next receives that license status online, Pro features are disabled and the app falls back to Basic where possible. Local user-created data is not intentionally deleted.
Updates, availability, and changes
AptiStock LLC may release updates that add, change, repair, or remove functionality to maintain security, compatibility, legality, or product quality. AptiStock LLC may discontinue a provider integration or supporting online service when necessary. If the AptiStockX activation backend is permanently shut down, AptiStockX will rely on the locally installed signed Pro license for offline verification.
Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AptiStockX, aptistock.com, and related services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, data accuracy, or trading results. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AptiStock LLC and its owners, officers, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, trading losses, lost opportunities, lost data, or business interruption arising from AptiStockX or related services. AptiStock LLC's total liability for a claim relating to a paid AptiStockX license will not exceed the amount paid for that license. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.
Changes and contact
AptiStock LLC may update these terms by publishing a revised effective date. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove mandatory rights or an already purchased Direct Pro entitlement except where a license is validly revoked under these terms. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
